BIOGRAPHY Born in Turin, Italy, with a talent for colors, Pia was introduced to brush work by her grandmother who taught her china hand-painting in the Limoges style. She moved to the US with her husband and two sons in 1969; living in New York City area she attended the National Academy of Design and the Art Student League for several years and became life member in the League and signature member in the New Jersey Watercolor Society. Pia resides in Bellevue, WA, since 1989, where she has obtained signature membership in the Northwest W.S., Montana W.S., and the National W.S. The Arizona Watercolor Association included one of Pia’s paintings in the 2000 two-year traveling exhibition. Several corporations have purchased her work. While experimenting with many top teachers, Pia has developed an impressionist touch.. Her work with different media and collage shows a great enthusiasm for trying new painting ways.
